Bandhavgarh Wildlife Photography Tour

Popularly known as one of the best places for sighting tigers in their natural habitat, Bandhavgarh is one of India’s most cherished national parks. As per mythological belief, the name of this park literally means Brother’s Fort in Sanskrit, which was given by Hindu Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana to keep an eye on Lanka (Ceylon).

Best Time to Visit Bandhavgarh National Park

As professionals, we would suggest participants visit Bandhavgarh National Park between the months of October and June, which happens to be the ideal time for visiting.

Winter (October–February): Known for pleasant weather, these months are ideal for wildlife sightings and birdwatching.

Summer (March–June): If you wish to visit the park mainly for tiger sightings, do so in the summer. This is the time when animals gather near water sources.

Monsoon (July–September): This is not recommended for animal sightings because the park remains closed due to heavy rainfall.

The Tourist Zones Kanha National Park

There are four safari zones in the Bandhavgarh National Park, each offering incredibly beautiful landscapes and amazing wildlife experiences.

    • Tala Zone – is popular, with the highest tiger sightings and scenic landscapes.
    • Magadhi Zone – consists of dense forests and frequent big cat sightings.
    • Khitauli Zone – is characterized by rich birdlife and herbivores, with occasional tiger sightings.
    • Panpatha Zone – has a quieter, offbeat wildlife environment.
